Outreach & Education Coordinator, 25 hrs/week

Sustainable NCW (SNCW) is seeking an Outreach & Education Coordinator to help connect our programs with schools, businesses, community organizations, volunteers, and community members throughout Chelan and Douglas Counties.

​

This is a hands-on, community-facing position focused on sustainability education, outreach, and program support. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering recycling and composting education in 4th grade classrooms and supporting school outreach.

• Supporting Waste Wizard, SNCW's online recycling search tool, including maintaining local information and promoting the tool through community outreach.

• Coordinating Towards Zero Waste events, including volunteer coordination and on-the-ground event support.

• Supporting community recycling programs, including the Leavenworth Recycling Center and potential glass recycling collection events.

• Assisting with community outreach related to recycling, composting, waste reduction, climate action, and other sustainability programs.

• Representing SNCW at community events, fairs, festivals, and other outreach opportunities.

• Supporting grant-funded projects and educational campaigns as opportunities arise.

 

The Outreach & Education Coordinator will work closely with the Communications Manager and Executive Director to build strong relationships with schools, businesses, community organizations, volunteers, and community members and help expand SNCW's impact throughout the region.
